I went to a website called Pasadenamatch.org, it claimed that you can meet locals in your area. Then I got a call from Steve at Together. He told me that there were 5000 members in the Pasadena area. On my way to the interview (which wasn't even close to Pasadena) I got caught in traffic and decided not to go. Steve called and I told him that I didn't believe that 5000 people would have driven all the way to their office to join. He reassured me that they did have 5000 members in the Pasadena area. Once at the office I met with Monique. I told her that I was looking for a younger man, who didn't want children, athletic and enjoys traveling etc. She told me this would be "no problem" They start with a very high figure (I can't tell you what I paid because they made me sign a confidentiality agreement) then they get down to a low figure which is still a lot of money but you think you are getting a deal.
The first two matches were not in the Pasadena area and they were both older, not athletic, didn't have much of anything in common with me. I called to complain, asking for Monique, instead they transferred me to one of the Matchmakers and she assured me that more would come. The next two were also not from the Pasadena area and they both had children. So, I call and talk with Monique, she says that they don't have 5000 members in the Pasadena area, they have 5000 members in the whole organization.
I ask for a refund, since the main reason I joined was to find someone in my area. She would not even discuss it and blamed me for the bad matches because I hadn't spoken to her after the first two, I spoke with one of the match makers. She tells me she will send out 2 guys. These two were worse then the others. One was 10 years older. The other one was short and fat, zero personality, hadn't done one interesting thing in his life and had children. When I called her to complain she said that they must have sent me the wrong James and then she suddenly had to go and hung up the phone. Then I get a call from the Matchmaker, even though Monique had blamed me once before for not calling her and talking to the matchmaker instead. Anyhow, you get the picture. Every guy that they have sent me feels just as ripped off as me.
