Cosmetique sent my mother unsolicited merchandise and has sent her threatening collection letters to try to make her pay. When she offered to return the merchandise, Cosmetique did not offer to pick it up or send a prepaid mailer or credit return authorization to include with the merchandise. We filed a complaint with the Chicago BBB and Cosmetique replied that they could not locate her account. Cosmetique continues to ask her to pay for this unsolicited merchandise even though she has explained three times that she did not request the cosmetics. My mother is a retired senior citizen living on a fixed income. Cosmetique is preying on seniors and threatening these honest citizens to intimidate them into paying for unsolicited merchandise. This business practice is a violation of Federal mail order laws and Cosmetique should be stopped from doing business this way.
