Fedex Did not prodvide reparation for lost packages

Hi

I ordered an AC filter from a company online. It was to be shipped by FedEx as per the vendor shipping method

I never received anything although my credit card was used by the vendor to charge me for the filter. When I inquired online using Fedex tracking system I learned that the package had been delivered as per their records.

I contacted them as I never received anything at my door. They inform me that as per the driver they had delivered. Because no signature was required by the company who sold me the filter FedEx did not require from me a signature to deliver the product: that is there was no proof of deliverey by the driver. Despite this fact, fed ex maintained the driver told them he had left the product at my door. 30 dollars filter.

Fedex sent, me a final letter telling me that my complaint had been resolve and they could not help me BECAUSE there was no signature requirement from the vendor and their driver said he had delivered the package. I never receive the paskage.

The costly signature option is an added feature to the regualar service therefore more expensive for the vendor. For a 30 dollars filter I understand that the vendor used the regular fed ex delivery service without incurring higher delivery cost of Signature. You would expect this basic fed ex service is trustworthy and the people who are behing deserve you trust, wouldn't you?

Fedex always denied and make me feel as if I was lying. I got resolution when my wife simple inform the company who sold the air filter: they graciously send us another air filter using I believe another provider... It arrived rapidly.

I will NOT use FEDEX anymore for domestic or international shipments. The largest size item I shipped with Fedex was for full antique salon, I believe there were 5 pieces Napoleon style, that I directly imported from France. It cost about 3,000 dollars to be shipped from Nice, France directly in Dallas, TX.By plane from fed ex but considering the high value of the shipment, it is very important for tracking these costly collection and antique items to send by planes. As I am European I cannot avoid not shipping from Europe and it includes very large items on occasion... Such as highly value and rare antiquities... That cannot be shipped by boat due to the security issues, the large weight issue, and most of all very high value of the shipment (Well over $10,000 once in the US and at market price for antiquities)

I will not work with Fedex any more... Whatever the size, from postcard to container size shipments and plane shipments.

Too bad fedex people, the 30 dollars air filter your never recognized having lost or else... And that I never received is going to cost you my business and the business or overseas' customers.

I guess you guys at Fedex missed the point. $30 was not the issue for me: the principle of making me feel that I was dishonest and lying about having never received the air filter package really was the issue. And your poor customer handling issue was also the issue. Can't your driver commit a mistake. I bet you even never looked in your database to check the volume of business I was providing you with... Your mistake!
