I rented from an Associated Estates Community called Saw Mill Village, and they send their rent bills out via NW&P, who charges OUTRAGEOUS prices for their water consumption, but after a few months, they begin a "service charge." What is the service charge? It's what they charge you for them making a bill that you need to know how much you owe them.
It's ridiculous. I lived in this place for 4 months, and I started out with a normal rent bill ($910/month) for two months, then it crept up each month thereafter to $935, and then to $955, which was not what I agreed to pay each month.
To add to this, my apartment community claimed they go by how many people you have living with you. WHAT?! How can you possibly charge based on how many people live with you? So they don't charge based on your actual usage. Absolutely ridiculous.
Don't do business with ANY COMPANY that uses NW&P.
Amen.
