I got an emai out of the blue from a company telling me they could help me to get government grants for school or business, etc. Since I am starting up a home business I thought it might be worth looking into. What harm could it do, especially since the CD was only $1.97.
Imagine my surprise two weeks later when I found a charge for $49.95 from this company on my bank statement. I called the number for this company as listed on my bank statement and got the message that it was the wrong number. I figured maybe there was an error and that it would be corrected on my next statement.
Four weeks later I have gotten a second $49.95 charge against my bank account from Fast Auction Profits. Once again I tried to contact them with the same results. I am now going to take the advice of the consumer complaints editor and have my account cancelled and reopened.
It's a shame that people can get away with this without having to pay any consequences for their actions. I hope enough people will complain so that someone in authority can take this company to task. It is a rip-off!
