I got a letter from my credit union telling me that this credit card company is trying to take out $159.00. I never ordered and new nothing so I contacted them. They informed me that I did so!!! So I contacted the police and filed a idenity theft which I sent the incident # to the card company. This was in April.
They have called me several times periodically over this time which I have told them I will not pay for something that I don't want, and didn't order. Since they have my ss# and address, they said it definately was me using my computer on the internet. That is funny.
They are loud, don't listen and very harrassing. They seem to call at least 10x a day now. I have reported this to Federal Trade Commission, BBB, AG in Washington and Illinois as well as the FBI as I am really sick and tired of their abuse and calls not to mention their threats. I do not take to kindly to that kind of stuff.
I have noticed that some have asked what 800-293-1486 is, it is 1st credit of america. They have caller id so they know the name that comes up and has your file in front of them even before you talk. They told me that if I don't pay this bill, they are going to turn it over to the crdit Bureau to hurt me. They also said that I had wrote them a check, however, they can't produce the proof of one.
My credit union showed me that they tried to debit my account 5 times in a couple days and now they say that I wrote them a check. Go figure. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, but mine do, hahaha.
It seems to me that they have a few different addresses as well. I have found the 300 N Elizabeth, but the suite changes, on the phone I was told, suite 20020b, I have found on switchboard.com I found suite #220e, I have seen 220b and a few others.
I have also seen the name of First credit of america, not sure if they are one in the same, but things do point that way. Talk about problem children, WOW.
I am also turning this into the local tv stations here, doubt anything will happen, but it is worth a try.
