I made just 3 calls to Almaty (Kazakhstan) from the public phone in Schirpol airport in Amsterdam (Netherlands) using my Visa credit card. Two of them were incomplete (nobody answered, no answering machine), the third one was just 1 minute and a half.
Now I see 5 charges on my credit card in the name of BBG Communications - 3 transactions for $10 each and 2 for 16 EURO each. So I've been charged by more than $70 for less than 2 minute talk.
The most unfair thing was that the information signs at the public phone didn't provide any information about such a fraudulent tariff.
Just think - 70 bucks for 1 minute and a half - $35.00 per minute!!! Assuming 1 minute rounding. I've never ever seen such tariffs (even satellite communication is cheaper) and consider this as just a simple swindle.
I feel myself cheated. BEWARE.
