NRG - Alexander Neirnstein, Fred Ruotolo & Gonzalez, Jeffrey Leyton - NRG Family Law ripoff UNETHICAL Call State Bar for Complaints filed and currently pending resolution No/Poor representation NRG charges egrgious fees!

I went through a similar situation with NRG law as that reported by "c" on 10/06.

My retainer fee was $3500 and was depleted prior to a hearing before a Judge. I retained NRG in March 31 to settle custody and child support issues. No paternity, no divorce, no property to split, no alimony issues.By August of I received a letter from Fred Ruotolo stating in part: " at this time you have an over due balance of $473.20 and an additional $2771 has been performed on your matter... in order for us to continue your representation, we would require a payment in the amount of $5000 to cover fees already billed as well as to move forward on your case." Over $6200 and I had yet to have a court hearing! To add to my anguish the Gonzalez Group, formerly NRG law, now once again NRG law, filed a civil complaint and a civil summons for attorney fees. There is certainly something wrong when the Law group that is supposed to be representing you, decides that they are going to sue you. That same month, October NRG law filed a motion to withdraw. The motion was not signed until October. I paid my fees and retained another law firm to continue my representation.

There were many things wrong with NRG's representation or lack thereof. I filed a complaint Against Jeffrey Leyton in 12/05 with the State Bar of Arizona. It has been a long and involved process that is still under investigation.

When hiring a lawyer, go by referrals not high dollar ads and websites.
