I can't believe people don't check out Alarm Companies before they buy. Just cuz ADT's the biggest, they got there by lying to their prospective customers. I have studied this industry for many years and have worked in it too. THIS is the biggest thing that no one knows about unless you look deep. Burglars see an ADT sign or decal and laugh.
First, all the ADT sales people put these signs/decals up just to hope they get the business, not because it's got an alarm, the burgs know this. Second, and I have photos to prove this too. The basic home and small business alarm ADT offers has a built-in delay UP TO 3 MINUTES before the alarm ever communicates the signal to them and the police. Can you believe this?
Is it true, yup, I have seen it time and time again where the burglar breaks into an ADT site, and just rips the controls off the wall before it has a chance to call out (worthless). ADT even admits to it, but their sales people lie about it.
Go to ADT's F.A.Q. And look at the third or fourth one. "Why does it take so long for ADT to...". If you think buying ADT means you got a good alarm system, you just got "ripped-off". I got lots more coming later.
