Ripoff Insured Delivery Confirmation Return Item Not in Box No Refund

I order an Earth Calm Home Protector from EMF Blocker. They are part of Healthstores.com which has about 40 different stores. They also sent me a free cell phone headset for ordering. I read their return policy, if I did not like the product and it was a 100% money back guarantee less shipping. Had to call for return authorization number as well. The price was $149.95 and free shipping. That was fine.

I did not like the product and called the company for a return authorization number and was told that they would have to send me a form to sign and return agreeing to the credit amount. Aggravation # 1. This was not stated in their online return policy. I never did receive that form in the mail.in the meantime, I called back and asked them to e-mail me the form, I would sign it and return it. Which they did and I did.

I packaged up the Earth Calm Home protector and the free cell phone headset and sent it USPS Delivery Confirmation, Insured Mail. They received the package on Dec. 21.

I didn't see the credit on my credit card and called them on Jan. 2. I was told that a credit would be done that day. On Jan. 4th, I called again and was told that they would e-mail me the credit transaction number. About a hour later, they called back asking for the account number as they could not locate my account. I gave it to them and they said they would take care of it. About another hour later, they called again and said that the only item in the box was the free headset and that the $149 was not in the box. Therefore, no credit and that I would have to file a claim with the usps for my money. They said that the post office employees must have stolen it. They would do nothing more and that it was not their fault.

Aggravation #2- I called the post office about filing a insurance claim and was told that the company who received the package would have to present the packaging and insurance info to the post office for investigation. Yeah right!

Aggravation #3- I called the company back and spoke with the operations manager, Wolbert, who told me that the packaging had been discarded and that he would not do anything else. It was my problem. Now wouldn't you think, that an insured return with the return authorization in the box with the amount of the returned item would be questioned if it wasn't there. Or maybe they would call me? No they just throw the box away and never do anything. He states that no one there would steal it, so it is my problem.

I called my credit card company and filed a dispute claim for the charges. They were very nice and actually laughed at the ridiculous response from this company. They are now handling the problem and I expect that I will get a credit.

Aggravation #4- I spent an afternoon and part of this evening dealing with this company. I have never seen such incompetence and rudeness as this.
