My wedding was September 23rd 2006 and I regrettably used Lindelle Studios.
I was appalled when my original photographer called me up 2 days before our wedding and asked me for directions to the Church for the ceremony and reception! The reception was at a well-known place (Anthony's Pier nine) and he had never heard of it before nor did he ever hear of Newburgh NY, which is a BIG city!
He had the directions in front of him but called me to give him step-by-step directions! It sounded very shady, considering that I expressed to him that he should go onto mapquest.com because that is how I would be giving him directions but instead he wanted me to read it off to him. I hesitantly gave him directions and hung up the phone.
I then called Lindelle Studios and spoke to the head of the photography department and expressed my concern. He tried to reassure me by telling me that it was just my nerves that were getting to me and the photographer would be just fine!
The next day (which was the day before our wedding) I got a call from another man that told me that he was going to be our Photographer. I expressed to him my confusion but he said that he was just called to be my photographer.
On our wedding day, the photographer was 30 minutes late! I did not get the pictures that I wanted and I was being rushed because he was late and tried to get pictures and wound up taking blurry, nonprofessional pictures.
At the church the photographer was taking family shots and insisted that my sister-in-law NOT be in the picture because HE just wanted immediate family. I told him that I would not be buying any of those pictures because I want her in the picture and he insisted that she be left out and took them anyway.
While driving to the reception we stopped at a park to take pictures. The photographer's film must have been bad because the color is distorted. I told him that I wanted mainly pictures of my husband and me and most of the pictures are candid shots and MOST of them DO NOT have my husband and me! They are very scarce! I am having so much trouble trying to find a decent picture that I would want to make 16x20 or even 4x5 for that matter!
The photographer is in many of my families pictures with his camera to his side! He was enjoying himself so much and just looking around at my reception, that he missed memorable moments such as my husband and his mother dancing!!! We have not one picture of the groom and mother dance! We have one picture of my husband and I (which is blurry). I am having to scrounge around for some negatives from my families own cameras to put in the Album that we paid good money for.
To top it all off, he came up to me close to the end of my reception and asks me how I felt about Lindelle studios. He then proceeded to tell me that he has only been with the company for less than a year and if I have any future parties to just call him direct because he feels that Lindelle is not a reputable company. Then he gives me his own business card! I have my wedding dress on and he hands me a business card!!?? This was disgraceful!
I demand my money back for all of my troubles. I DO NOT want to use THIS company again! This company has forced me to be without professional photos that I paid for on a very special day of our lives!
I paid over $2,500.00 for pictures that weren't taken! I specifically told him NOT to take candid pictures of guests and he did. I told him TAKE pictures of mainly my husband and I and these are very scarce!
I am very disatified with this company and have reported Lindelle studios to 7 On-my-Side.
