Dishes out punishment to their customers

Below, i include two complaints i sent to Dish Network. This covers the general problems. Today, i had to deal with more problems, since i am moving and (thankfully) disconnecting their service. (Operator ID HH9) He kept trying to give me another 12 months... And i kept saying I'm not interested, and told them why. The "customer service rep" (i use the term VERY loosely) would not move on to schedule the disconnect, even when i said i wasn't interested, so finally, i had to ask for a supervisor.

The supervisor was more rude than the rep. I tried to insure that they would not be drafting my bank account, as i had discontinued autopay twice online, and it still kept drafting my account. So i wanted some assurance in writing that they would not do that, and he laughed and said he could not "guarantee anything." He was derisive, condescending and rude.

I told him i was filing complaints with the BBB and with this site, and he said "Good, we can use the press." They don't even seem to understand.

I have had nothing but problems with your service. Most recently, a service call for dropped connection and constant erasure of data on the DVR, was supposedly due to a soiled lens on the satellite... This service call did nothing to solve the problem, and a second service call revealed that the connective cable should have been upgraded upon my original installation, because it was not capable of handling the signal. That was done temporarily, but i was told there needed to be still more service done.

Meanwhile, my DVR had repeatedly erased recorded programs, and not functioned properly. That was replaced with a new DVR on the 2nd service call. Now, i see that this is costing me extra money. How is that fair? I do not want to pay extra for these service calls, as they would not have been necessary had the service been installed by your personnel properly in the first place.in fact, i feel i should be REIMBURSED for all the times i could not get a signal, sometimes for hours and even days at a time.

Each time i have called customer service, the cumbersome transfer system and wait times made it way too much trouble. I simply don't have that kind of time to deal with something that should not even be happening. I have been repeatedly diconnected after spending 30 - 45 minutes going through your system and being on hold. I am strongly considering switching to another provider, even though this would be a great inconvenience for me.

i am not happy with your service, and i will not pay extra for all these things that are not my fault.
Please contact me regarding this matter, or i will file a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general of the state, and i will do whatever else i have to do to make sure this matter is handled as it should have been handled in the beginning.

This site says that my bill is PAST DUE AND IT IS NOT.
I have asked for my service to be disconnected on the 1st of January. I have had a horrible experience with Dish and will not only NOT recommend you, but will be making sure that everyone i can tell will know not to use your service. You gave me half a signal the entire time i was with you, you charged me for service calls that would not have been necessary, had you done your job properly to begin with, your customer service reps are RUDE and PUSHY and ARROGANT.

Your technicians don't know what they are doing, as they didn't even change out/update the wiring when my service was installed, and this was why i've had continued service problems. I've even had the DVR replaced because it was erasing itself—the saved programs and all the timers. I am moving, and part of the reason, is so that i can have CABLE. I never have trouble with cable, and they treat their customers with respect.

I have already filed serveral official complaints about you—one with the BBB, and i will continue to follow up on that as well as others. I requested that auto pay be discontinued, and yet, it is still continuing. If you charge me ONE DIME more than i owe, i will sue you. You have made me pay for a couple of years of HORRIBLE service—ONLY becuase there was no other provider out here.

DO NOT CHARGE MY ACCOUNT AGAIN. Send me the final bill in the mail, and i will pay it and nothing more. THis is your official notice in writing.

As an addendum to my last mail, here is a link to a site where i am going to add my own complaint. As you can see, i'm not the only person who is disgusted with Dish network. Think maybe you ought to look at that???

I'm also sending this along with a letter to the corporate office.
