The salesperson, Jeff Gates who claimed to be a partner, was dishonest and only cared about making the sale. He showed up an hour early, probably to catch me off guard.
I signed up for a $49/mo lease on equipment and service. I asked him if those were the only charges besides the usage fees on credit card sales. He confirmed that yes, that was the only fee. $49/mo and that's it!
WRONG! Beware! When a young guy from the company brought the equipment and showed me how to use it, all the swiping he did came out of our bank account! (I found this out a week later) I was upset to say the least.
Then, surprise, surprise, I get three annual fee charges, two for $99. And one for $89. When I called the company to dispute the charges, they faxed me a form to sign and they would take care of it. The form read that I would be charged a $395. Cancellation fee! I told them that I would need to mark through that part of the cancellation form and they told me not to do that, but to just sign it as is and they'd take care of it for me! Sure! I wasn't about to sign that form. I know that they would have taken more money from my account.
One week after signing on with Merchant Lynx, my sister saw that they were being investigated on the news. Great! Just my luck.
Also, I never received a copy of my contract, the salesperson, Jeff Gates, never left a business card, and he will not return my phone calls.
Almost $400. Has been taken from our account and I haven't even used the machine. I packed up the equipment yesterday, sent it UPS certified, and have closed my business account and opened another. This has been a nightmare! Please don't use this company.
