Oct. 16th, Received a telephone call from Tanya Booker a sales rep. With Merchant Lynx Credit Card Services, stated she was in the area and calling on several business to sent up credit card services. I explained to her that I already had a service that I was dissatisfied with and no longer accepted credit cards, she asked if she could come by and talk to me that she could really help me out and save me money. I agreed to meet with her. She was a very likeable person and wanted me to try her company.
I explained that I was still paying on my old lease and could not afford to change. She stated her company would buy out my $250.00 cancellation charge on my old lease but I would have to continue to pay the 69.00 a month lease equitment fee until the lease ran out but I would no longer have to pay the $53.00 a month statement fee. As I would only be paying the $8.00 plus any fees for the credit cards I accepted. If you have no credit card use that month no fees only the $8.00 statement fee. Sounds good.
The fee for the credit card machine would be $69.99 a month for 48 months ok There would not be any start up fees those would be wavied and the machine would be delivered to me and set up following week. I explained I would be going out of town and needed to wait on set up. She stated no problem.
About 2weeks later the machine was delivered to my house by DHL Delivery Service... Next came a statement from them showing where the mach. Had been used to set up the account. I called and asked how someone could set up the machine when it had never been opened or pluged in? Carla a company rep. Said they did it at the office because they had no one to come to this area to set it up. I explained to her that I didn't like this and this was not the right way to do business.
Next I got my bank statement saw where Merchant Lynx and billed me for $0.60, $1.55, $10.00, $50.00, $50.00 a total of $112.15, I called them, Carla stated these were set up fees and I should have read my contract. What contract nothing was left here she said no we don't use carbons and I should have made a copy of the contract I told her Tanya Booker was suppose to have brought it back to me.
I called Tanya Booker she said don't worry I will call Carla and get you on the line and we will 3way the call and get this staightened out and I will be back in town next week. Well she never showed up and Inever got the3way call, I did get a faxed copy oy the contract. I have been forced to close my bank account
