Manager ripoff First Name Is Mark And Uhauls Customer Service Shelly Weitz stole $160.00 cash from me, saying it is for a deposit on truck and trailer I was renting

Shelly Weitz said I needed to give her a deposit of $160.00 for the truck and trailer I was renting. I gave her $160.00 cash and used my credit card for the rest because I did not have enough cash on me to pay $383.00 rental fee. Walked out side with my son to see how to hook up the trailer to the truck. Came back and papers were ready and the cash was gone. Shelly pointed at the places I needed to sign, I did not read anything just signed. Last thing on my mind is an employee of a business stealing from me.

As my son and I were leaving I asked her how and when do I get my $160.00 cash deposit back. Shelly said that when I get to the place I am dropping the rental off at, after they check everything they would give me my deposit back. I thanked her and left.

When I dropped the truck off I then found out that my paper work did not show I paid a deposit at all. I also was told that when you use a credit card you don't leave a deposit.

I called back down to El Cajon Uhaul and Shelly said she didn't remember me or geeting $160.00 deposit from me. I said then your drawer should have been over that day by that much. "No the drawer was right on." She put me on hold until I finally hung up waiting so long for her to get back on the phone. That happened everytime I called from then on.

Tried to explain to the manager who I only got a first name of Mark first in a letter then on the phone. He didn't care or believe he had an employee who is a theft. I suggested to him if he has a camera behind the counter for security to check the tape out and see what happened to the money. He just pretended he didn't hear me. He hung up on me and that was that.

The customer service on the internet is a joke they don't do anything except say they will pass your complaint along to that uhaul and you should hear back in 3 business days. That never happened in 14 business days or 4 months. This happened the begining of August. I am reporting them to everyone and place I can. If I didn't live 7 to 8 hours or driving time away from them I would be down in their face every day and more. I know I could go to court with this and even press charges on Shelly Weitz but I hoped to handle it pleasently.
I am not giving up yet.
