Bernard Haldane Associates Advisor
Deceptive Company Florida

I am soooo very glad that I found this site! I specially want to thank the "ex-employee" that explained a lot about the m.O. For BH, he's been a life saver..."Former Bernard Haldane Associates Advisor - sorry, you most likely have been ripped-off and I feel guilty"I have been unemployed for quite a few months, and have not been able to get anything, although I have sent a million resumes!!! I must confess that I had never heard of this company before, and although I was quite frustated of employment agencies, I figured that this must be an "exclusive" agency and decided to give it a try. I went to the initial interview today. Of course, it was a very plush "rent-an-office" deal. The gentleman that took care of me was giving me a very "soft sell" (I have been told that I have a "I'll buy anything you want to sell me" written across my forehead) about their services, and when I would ask direct questions, he never answered them specifically, but give me kind-of examples. Ej. Q. Would you calculate your fees on the number of hours spent with me? A. Well, you are partially right. (but he never gave me the way they do it). Q. At this point, after talking to me, what do you think that fee would be? A. Well, your second interview will give you exact figures, but maybe aroung 3,500 to 4,500. Q. Do you currently have job openings or you match the individual and the companies you work with and get the jobs? A. Well, employers search our data base, although your personal information is kept confidential. Etc., etc., etc., I was kind of iffish, but thinking this is it! These people will get me a dream job!!! They are so professional... I will have to put it like in 3 credit cards, but it's my future... I have to sacrifice myself. On the other hand, I was thinking well they are not telling me anything about guarantees with these hefty fees, he said about 85% of their people get the job in 1 or 2 months, so that's no guarantee. I dont' have this kind of money... I don't even know if I'll make it next month. My resume according to them was not very good, that it did not show #s, but the #s were there and I had just professionaly redone it and was receiving some calls. Thank God I got into their web site. It didn't say much!!! I'm sure employers could search just like in Monster.com, HotJobs, etc. Some things didn't make much sense and some things are just common sense. Under services they re-direct you to their "free" initial interview that I had just gone through. I saw in other sites, reported problems with them and this one just finished opening my eyes. I hope this opens people's eyes to at least do the research before they sign in the dotted line. I am for people making a buck, but I am truly tired of rip-offs. Especially people that prey on the weak, the old and the "down on their luck" or "going thru a rough time" people. If this company is all they claim to be, I suggest that they start behaving like the professional company that they claim to be... I'm sure people would pay for their services if they truly came through, but so many bad experiences cannot be just a coincidence. Regards. AmnerisMiami, Florida
