We met Brenda Mattson in Ironwood, Michigan where she brought us the female puppy we were interested in purchasing. After giving her the money, she gave us a receipt that states it is for a registry eligible female chihuahua puppy. (The front of the shot records shows the name of the parents but no AKC/CKC registry numbers) Brenda told us she would send the registry papers in the mail within 2 weeks. Nothing came.
We called her and she said she would get it right out. Nothing came. We called again but this time, she no longer took our calls. She does not answer the phone at all? (Caller ID I assume) She also does not answer emails or registered letters.
We discovered that she sells other dogs as well (A regular puppy mill) and helps her daughter sell dogs so we called the other phone number listed (715-682-2409) and as soon as we asked for Brenda, they hung up. We called back and they hung up again.
We are now going to contact the DA, BBB and ASPCA.
