Last month my husbands cell phone went down for a week. This phone is his business phone and it's usually his only contact with his customers. Cingular said that the problem was theirs and that they would take care of it. Sure enough, although it took a week, our phone was fixed. Although we had to go out and by a new phone in the process, because we couldn't go without a phone for that long. Cingular called and apologized to us and said they were going to comp us 109.00 on our bill, and they were going to give us 1000 rollover minutes for our inconvience.
We got our bill this month and nothing was on it concerning their promises, so I called them. I talked to a lady who found the promise and repeated it to me. Then she said that someone would call me back within a few days and clear the matter up. Today, I get a call from someone who says there's nothing on my account that says anything like that and that cingular wouldn't make a promise like that. I wanted to talk to a superviser and he just kept saying basically what he says goes.
I realize that sometimes the bad behavior of a company is not nessassarly their falt, but the falt of an incompetent employee, but I was happy to be an & customer, (I never had a problem with them) and I didn't get a choice of whether or not I joined cingular. I'm not impressed, and I don't trust people who lie to me.
