I am disabled and had a chance to move and so i called verizon to have my services including dsl transfered. Well the deal on the house i was to move into fell through so i called them immediately and cancelled service to the new address and asked them to restore service at the present address.
The phone service was promptly restored but my dsl was not. I called the dsl number and was told that service would be restored in 3 days. Well 4 days went by and so I called them again and was told that the representative that had told me that was in error and it would be 10 days for my dsl service to be restored.
I waited the 10 days and on the 11th day once again called them and the order was so messed up that they had my service being connected at a vacant house and did not know when they could get the dsl line into my home where it had only been disconnected for one day when i called them to restore it.
I continue to get bills for dsl service which i don't have and for a voice mail they say i ordered and i did not. They have a rotten attitude towards their customers and i can see why they are a multimillion dollar company. They got that way stepping on the backs of their customers.
I now use road runner cable for my computer but still get bills from verizon for dsl service. Plus that they had the nerve to send me another modem which i did not open and returned both modems to them through Airborne Express with a signature required label. They were suppose to send me a shipping label to return my modem and did not do that either.
My daughter who through my urging tried ordering verizon dsl and never got connected for 2 months and still waits for the shipping label 2 months later.
I really feel that something should be done about the fact that they cannot get orders straight and continue to bill for services no in use by the customer
