I decided to cancel my service with Dish due to their continued increases in monthly fees. When I called Customer Service to make this request I was told that I would need to speak to the Cancellation Department and was transferred to them. Well, after FIFTEEN minutes on hold I was forced to hang up because my babies needed me.
I tried on numerous occassions to get in touch with the Cancellation Department but each time was put on hold for a RIDICULOUSLY long time and each time I had to hang up because of the needs of my children. I decided to just use my email request for cancellation as my formal request but Dish says that is not good enough, that I needed to comply with their policy of speaking in person to the Cancellation Department. If only they had someone around to answer the phone in that department!
I suspect that Dish Network avoided my request in an effort to keep charging me for service even after I asked to have my service terminated.By the way, I sent in my final payment at least two weeks ago with a letter requesting termination once the current billing period ended and, oddly, they say they have not received it.in two or three years they have never had a problem receiving my payment but now they claim they have not received my final payment. Give me a break.
Now they are threatening to have my credit damaged! What am I supposed to do? I wish I would have never gotten involved with this company.
