I used to Have a Verizon Account, But recently switched to another for the family plan. I have had nothing but horrible service from this Provider.
When I tried to transport my number, I was told" we cannot allow you to transport that number, because it used to belong to one of our emplyees.". Well, I got another number, and my new company dropped the ball on the service cancelation. Somehow, after I called verizon (At the end of my contract period, (ie. No fee), I have now been fraudulently resigned up for a new contract. They said that they had cancelled the previous one but before they told me about thier inability to tranfer my number they had to re-activate the account. I was told this was standard practice, and then got thet news about the Number thing.
Now Verizon (Can you hear me Now??? Hello? Hello!?) is calling me about this new account, and sending me to collections for an acount I had closed in good arrears over six months ago, and charging monthly fees, and such. This is one of the most disreputable businesses I have ever had to deal with. NOw I get a call tonight saying they are going to collections, and are going to press charges against me for Fraud.
The guy who called tonight would not give me his name, but gave me an phone # with an extension. 1-800-260-8584ext. 1533.
To have the annoying calls stopped I gave him my checking account # to pay it off, and he gave me an Confirmation #.
All of this is wrong. I now have to try to recuperate my money through an long and expensive legal process. The Harassment should stop now, but I feel that I have been "Taken" by this company. The threats against me, my credit, the harasment that we endured are just not the way a buisiness should be able to operate, or to treat someone. They Duped Me.
