Ripoff Poor customer service and improper assessment of charges

Since they don't accept Visa or Mastercard, I applied for a Sam's Club credit card.in March I paid the full invoice amount on my monthly billing. Six weeks later I received a bill reassessing that amount plus assessing two months worth of late charges and interest. I called customer service and they told me that my check had been returned. Since that wasn't possible given the large balance maintained in my checking account, I asked for a copy of the check showing why my bank had returned it. They refused. They insisted that I had to contact my bank, which I did.

My bank wrote a letter stating that the check had never even been submitted to them for payment. Sam's Club customer service was rude but finally did agree to reverse the charges they had applied and I paid the bill again. As it turns out, they only reversed one of the late fees but left all the other charges so when I received a bill this month there was yet a new $29 charge plus interest, etc. More time wasted calling yet another rude CS representative. I finally demanded that she speak to a supervisor or let me speak with one. They say they will investigate and get back to me.
