We bought a few items from Best Buy - financed through HSBC. Never got a correct bill (reflecting returned merchandise). Finally (Jan. 07) wrote a letter and sent a check that more than covered the one item we did receive. This accomplished nothing. Talked to someone there in March - paid another $107 and she would open dispute. Their dispute is all on their side. They NEVER contacted us, NEVER put a hold on account - it just kept collecting late fees and interest charges.
In May - again talked to an "account supervisor" who told me I owed the balance (now about $500 additional - for an item that was less than $200). Again, said she was going to open another dispute.
Evidently, to them, opening a dispute means that the customers disagrees, they look at it and decide they are right, so keep on assessing fines & charges.
Wasted several hours of hold time and talk - NO compromise; NO "customer service".
Called Best Buy - they say it's out of their hands.
I have NEVER gotten so little listening/customer service from a company in my many long years.
SO frustrated!
