Ripoff, lied to, rude customer service, DO NOT USE!

Csaba the estimator from Ben Hur came out and gave us the estimate of $1400 from NYC to Florida. We asked him how long it takes for delivery. He said, "If the pickup date is May 29 the delivery will take no more than 10 days. The latest day will be June 8." I then asked if there are any hidden fees or charges I should know about, he said "NO."

I asked him to email me the information so I would have the pickup & delivery dates as well as the price on paper since we didn't sign a contract the day he came. He emailed me back a contract without the specific information I requested. Eventually I was able to get him to email me specific dates because I was concerned about a delayed arrival. I got the dates confirmed and the price and how many people would be there to pick everything up.

Eventually they arrived an hour late to pick up the furniture.

Before they lifted a finger they began to pressure us about leaving them at least a 10% tip off of the total price. They didn't pack our TV properly and one man tried to lift it by himself. It weighs 350lbs! After they finished they again pressured us about gratuity. My fiancee felt that if he did not give them a tip they would damage the furniture. So he gave them $140. I tried to dispute this with the management becuase when I asked about ANY hidden charges or fees they should have told me that. ANd they never gave me any paperwork mentioning gratuity.

I finally got in touch with Ofar who aggreed to put that $140 towards the total cost and he emailed me from Csaba's account that the total paid was $840. Csaba then called to dispute that and was extremely rude to me. He was incredibly unprofessional and spoke to me in a manner that is completely unacceptable.

We decided to just let that slide as long as he could guarantee the delivery would arrive undamaged by June 8. He agreed and said that we would receive a phone call the day before delivery to confirm.

When we did not receive a call we called to check in. We spoke with Edgar who was also VERY rude and had no idea about our information after we gave him our reference number. We asked him to confirm our delivery tomorrow and he said, "Yeah, I guess."

I then called back and spoke with Tsuri the GM. Tsuri was professional and apologetic and confirmed the dates but then told us the furniture had not even left NY yet!

He didn't know why no one called to let us know the delay, after I had already scheduled to take the day off of work!

He assured me that some form of discount was due to us, but he wouldn't know when the delivery would leave until the next day and I should call him back. God forbid they could have the curtisy to call me.

I called him back and after getting the run around from other representatives, he called me back and told me the furniture was leaving NY on June 9 and we would receive it by the 14 or 15. But he couldn't give me a date. He promised that he would email me this confirmation and that he promised me a discount that same day. I have yet to receive an email from him.

When I called to speak with him, I got transfered around and spoke with Ofar who was very rude and told me that the day they leave does not effect the delivery date. Which makes absolutely no sense. If they had left on June 5 as they originally promised, they should be here by now. But since they haven't left yet, who knows when they will be here.

I tried to contact Tsuri via email and left him 2 messages. I have yet to hear back from him.
At this point I am disgusted and don't think I will ever see my things again.

If they do arrive, I am anticipating severe damage to my things.

DO NOT USE BEN HUR. They lie, they give incorrect information and to top it all off, they are so rude and disrespectful AND unprofessional. Save yourself the heart ache and sell your furniture and move your treasured belongings yourself. It is not worth the stress.
