I live in a rural town where nearly no one had a cell phone. There simply was no coverage anywhere we would travel on a daily basis. Until Cellular One came driving in on their sales vans.
They brought in temporary towers that are on pull trailers. Then they set up portable stores in the parking lots of the grocery stores. There are only three in the whole county! They told everone that permanent towers would be up within three months so we could get coverage just about everywhere. Of course we all sign up! We can only get coverage if we are in town! That is about 8 miles of coverage in the whole county. I live in the lower part of town and can't get a signal at my house.
So, it is a year and a half later of being told that the towers are still going to be put up. I have called and complained as has everyone else around here. We can't cancell because of the contract we signed. And I have the cheapest plan 2 phones that share minutes for about $45 a month and I can only use them if i go to the post office or the local fast food restaurant.
All they say is sorry.
