Sprint PCS Largest coverage my butt! Ripoff cellular NO service

I signed up with Sprint's wireless service in June. I was really impressed with with what the sales rep said about their their coverage and service.

We live in Oklahoma. When talking to the sales rep I told him we went hunting and fishing and asked if would get service in somewhat remote places, his response was "oh ya, as long as you're not up ontop of a mountain somewhere you'll get service" He didn't show us a map, he said on our plan we can make and receive calls from anywhere in the USA. Well that's all that mattered to me. We bought two phones. It didn't take long to find out that we lost service in a lot of nearby areas.

I called Sprint customer Service to ask why, they said that were working on getting towers up in those areas but I could buy "roaming bundles" for times I knew I was going to be in these areas, which is a joke since the places I go are local. The customer service rep also said that most of their towers were near major highways, so if we strayed to far from major highways there might be gaps without service.

Well two of places we lost service we're right on a major highway and another place was close enough to a major highway, I could see it! I called again to complain and was told that they weren't able to put towers in the areas the previous rep said they were because of some type of communication regulations. The longer I had my service, I discovered even more nearby places we can't get a signal.

So I called again to tell them I'm not getting service in areas where I should, such areas near major highways, here in town. He said that's just the way it is, even though they're the largest nationwide wireless service that doesn't mean we'll get service everywhere, and that no matter who I had service with there are going to "dead spots" I yes, I understand that, but we don't service hardly anywhere. When we signed up with Sprint PCS we didn't have a computer or internet service, so we didn't have the advantage of checking their coverage map for ourselves. When we did a computer and internet service I went straight to Sprint's web site. I typed in our zip code and city to see a the coverage and plans for our area and saw right there in black and white YOU ARE IN A LIMITED COVERAGE AREA.

I was mad, I called customer service to complain about being misled about the coverage he said there was nothing they could do about it and that Sprint's wireless service was more suited for people lving in major metropolitan areas! I complained not being told this when we sgned up and and that the sales rep flat out lied to make a sale. He said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do except to advise us to buy a roaming minutes bundle!

Our year contract expires in June and I can't wait! We also have two cell phones and service through U.S. Cellular for our kids, not only do get a good signal with them everywhere we do with Sprint but we also get a good signal everywhere DON'T with Sprint! I have also had other problems with Sprint PCS like other ones I've seen on this site.

I was suppose to have wireless web with the plan I signed up for, I found out that wasn't true either when we had "other charges" on our bill. To avoid navigating through the maze of never ending but useles options when calling, it's almost impossible to get the option to speak with a live person. The Claire Service solutions on the web site is just as bad.

I emailed my questions and complaints to avoid the hassle of calling and and because half the time Claire online doesn't work either, but I NEVER EVER received a response to one of my emails.

After reading all the complaints about Sprint PCS I agree with the other person about a class action law suit! Something needs to be done!
