I received a bill in my previous name which i have not had for 10 years. When I tried to call to find out what it was the person was very rude and said they have been trying to contact me since 2004. I have lived at my current address for 5 years and paper says First Notice. What to do? I am faxing the company they referenced to see if I can find something out. Can they just send a bill 10 years after the fact? I think its a scam. What makes me nervous is they have my social security number.
