I had legitimately prescribed prescriptions in my name to fill. I went to CVS and was scrutinized up and down like a criminal by some young, upstart counter person who checked two ID's burying her nose in my wallet. The minute left the pharmacy contacted the prescribing physician and had the prescriptions cancelled because the person they spoke to at the doctor's office was not aware of the situation.
Because of this over-the-top, police-state, lousy customer service type treatment I researched CVS Pharmacy to find out what was REALLY going on with them. I discovered some scary stuff.
In CVS has a history in one state of 80 prescription med errors including mixing your drugs up and giving someone else's to you and sending a 4 year old girl to the hospital due to their medication errors. They were under investigation by the local Board of Pharmacy and have now, in voluntarily agreed to have a non-profit agency oversee their pharmacy medication filling procedures due to a very high error rate in filling prescription medications. Out of these 80 prescription medication errors included patient's getting the wrong medications, getting another patients medication, and getting multiple but different medications mixed together in the same bottle.
Scary stuff folks. I was treated badly and ripped off. Just say NO to CVS. It's not worth the trouble or the risk.
