Cellular Choices RIPOFF SCAM, FRAUDS, STAY AWAY!

I purchased phone service through In Phonics in January 05 because of the rebates offered. What a joke! I was entitled to a total of $150 in rebates but have been erroneously denied.

I sent the rebate paperwork in timely and complete. After many months, I got a letter stating that - Customer has cancelled account with wireless carrier within 181 days; rebate is null and void. That statement was totally wrong. I called and finally was able to speak to someone and I heard for the first time what I have now heard repeatedly: we're only the rebate center and that decision was made by the corporate office ane there is nothing that we can do. I would then ask for a phone number to speak to the corporate office. The # given (800-985-6073) to me would not have a live person but wwas a recording that would send me back to the rebate center. Quite the SCAM!

I called % and advised them what I had received from In Phonics. % said that they would call and advise that I had not cancelled my account and that I was a customer in good standing. After that exchange, In Phonics agreed to resubmit the rebate to coporate. After many months and after calling on a weekly basis, I was finally told that the rebate was denied again. Lisa, called herself the manager of the rebate cneter, stated that she could not and would not sned me this denial letter by e-mail, fax or regular mail.

She also said that she never receives any complaint about this issue. I told her that I beleived that this was a sham, scam and a fraud and that this was now a matter of principle. Her only response was that I could contact the corporate office. Of course, when I asked for contact info, the only info she would give was the phone number that is a recording that comes right back to her office. She also said that I could go to the website and write to customer service.

I have spoken to Shana, Hannes, Deb (a supervisor), Sherri, Jamie (female) and this last go round with Lisa. I was always advised to call back within 7-10 days.

I have called % and advised them that I will leave them as a customer for all time because of their relationship with this company. I suggest that if we all did this, and followed thorugh that thus may have an impact. This is the absolute most fraudulent scam, sham that I have ever heard about.

I would like to hear any of your suggestions on what other actions you have taken. As I said, this is now a matter of principle. This effort being cost effective has left the station.

Let's put these people out of business. They already have too much of our money!
