Rebate Ripoff

I submitted my rebate packets per instructions from the Inphonics rebate center. When I had not heard anything regarding my rebates I attempted to contact the rebate center and a recording suggested that I check a web page for status on the rebate. That web interface informed me that my rebate was invalid and that a mailing would provide detailed information as to why it was invalid. However, I never recieved any mail containing said details. When I phoned the rebate center and was finally connected with a customer service rep she told me that there had been a glitch in "thier" software and ALL rebates were being denied as invalid but a correction was in the works and I should hear something in a couple of weeks.

This drug out for several months and finally in October a customer service rep instructed me to send my rebate information via facsimile, which I did, twice! When I sent the last fax I also sent the information via registered mail which the rebate center signed for and accepted. However, the folks who reviewed the packets determined that mine were invalid due to late postmark! There is no postmark on a FAX!!!

Even though several customer service reps have told me that one rebate check was on the way and the other was in adjudication but would be paid shortly, (The check is in the mail and we will love your forever!) I have received nothing.

The last time I phoned the rebate center they explained that there was nothing further they could do but I should contact Inphonics directly... Lots of luck! Inphonics also signed for and accepted a registered letter but I have heard nothing in return!

I am wondering how many others have been subjected to this deceptive marketing and whether there is a class action suite of which I could be a part?
