The JSM International company is a scam for those looking for jobs in sales and marketing. They claim to be making over a million dollars a month, yet work out of shoddy hole in the wall rented office spaces. They intentionally stay off of Google by changing their name often and saying "it costs 10K a year to be on Google". They won't give you written material about them, even if you ask. They will refer you to their website www.jsminternational.net, that gives you little or no information about what they do or who they do business with.
They claim that they sell and distribute Disney and Liz Clairborne products to get you interested. I seriously doubt that Walt and Liz know about these guys!
They don't have email addresses and don't have business cards with any names of those working there. They say they have been in business since 1979 and that they "just moved in" to this office space and they are opening a new one in Seattle in two weeks. They claim they are not worried about soliciting because everyone knows who they are. Only you are doing the solicitations, and if you fail, then you are not making any money. Especially because you won't have any written material, a website or business cards to back you up. And I didn't get offered a company car to drive. I definately did not see any other employees. You will appear like a fool!
If they are making over a million a month, why are they in a little rented office space without a sign? Why have I never heard of them before? Why didn't the guy have a computer on his desk and wear an expensive suit? Why weren't other people beating down the door to work here—instead, the place was empty except for me, the receptionist and the interviewer. The furniture looks like they got it at a Rental Outlet and probably did.
The interviews are a joke! They don't ask anything important about you or your experience, and they don't tell you anything about them. They dodge questions by telling you how much money they make and they are not worried about whatever you asked about.
They gave me a "questionaire" to fill out before my interview that asked my social security number, my age, and the make, model and year of my car. Thankfully, I didn't sign anything!
These are young people and I never got the name of the guy who interviewed me other than "Johnathan". Not sure if that is even his real name! When I asked him to sign the back of the business card, he only signed his first name.
When I told my neighbor about this weird interview she ironically had also interviewed with them a few years ago!!! And so did another friend of hers. When I descibed it, she was finishing my sentences! To make matters worse, her friend's truck was stolen two weeks after her interview with them.
Either this is a huge ID theft ring or they are getting information to steal your car! Believe me, I have my eye on my credit report and my car. If you got ripped off by these people in Portland, speak up and be heard! Call the local news, the paper, tell your friends and neighbors who are looking for jobs to avoid them! I know I am not the only one. Write a report or rebuttal me. Thank you!
