I just began new service in a home with 1 phone jack. The man who came to setup service replaced the single existing jack with another jack, and never informed me that there would be a $110 charge added to my bill. No one has even justified why he replaced this existing jack. He did not have to run new wire, because there was already wire run to this location, and I was already paying for equipment maintenance and inside wire maintnance.
I see no justification for this charge.
When I complained to customer service, the only response I got was that this new jack is not covered. It seems to me that setup would cover at least 1 new jack, and if not, there should be some disclaimer or warning regarding being charged this way.
