Credit Attorney
Ripoff didn't lift a finger except to hit my account after I cancelled

First, about 10 seconds after i hit the submit button the phone rang. It was the credit help place i emailed for more info (Credit Attorney). Like a jerk, i gave her my account info thinking that this might be an ok deal. A minute later in the conversation i told her that before i ok'ed anything i needed to talk to my wife. She wouldn't take no for an answer and set the payment up for 2 weeks later saying that i had plenty of time to cancel.

I lost my job a week later, and while home i was going thru emails. I saw the one from Credit Attorney (confirmation necessary) so i opened it up and while reading about the service i discovered that i could do from home what they wanted to charge me for. Also, my pay was just cut to well under half what i was making (unemployment). Needless to say, i never confirmed my order and never supplied enough info (credit report) for them to lift a finger on my behalf. Also, an attorney was to call the following day to let me know what they needed. Now, they called (caller i.D.) but i was at my last few days of work and spoke to no-one.

Three or four days before i was to be charged, i emailed and explained my situation and also withdrew any possibility of "limited power of attorney"and also withdrew the electronic funds transfer (as per the website, also noting that different parts of the site said different things about cancelling). At that time i also sent a hard copy letter to credit attorney as to cover all bases.

Well, come 3/6 i found an attempted electronic fund transfer (i say attempted because there was very little money in the account) for the 99 dollar retainer and a 20 insufficiant funds charge. Now because of that charge i'm beyond screwed. With that money gone my loan payment couldn't come out on time... And so on...

I emailed Credit Attorney (not nice, but not vulgar) to tell them what happened and to let them know my opinion of their service only to have my email sent back to me a few days later with no reply what-so-ever. I just got it so i may seem a bit angry.

I know its my fault overall for giving out certain information but i would have thought a credit rebuilding company would act a little better than that.
