Ripoff gave my personal and banking information to random people with my same last name

I actually called my bank thinking this place was a fake business setup by scammers and then found out it was a supposedly legitiment law firm. This law firm called random people from the phone book, anyone who had the same last name as I and left my personal and my banking information on their answering machines. God only knows how many people they gave this too, they got a few distant relatives who alerted me to the matter. When I called to find out why they were doing this the number that was left went to the associates home number, not the law firm, and the woman who I was told to contact sounded like she was alseep or possibly drunk and got very belligerant with me. When I called the firm and complained to a supervisor he told me what I was saying was so bizzare I must be making it up.
