I have charter for both TV and Cable Internet. I live in the areas damaged extensively by both Katrina and Rita. After the storm I was billed for pornographic movies not recieved at this residence. I was told by a chater rep via phone that I could disprove this by allowing them to come out and "check the remotes (there are 4 here) and boxes (also 4). I was also told that I could ZERO out my PPV credit limit and password protect all telephone orders to prevent it in the future. I reminded them that when I instituted service that I had requested all that UP FRONT with the exception of the visit. I was told that they could not be held responsible for maintaining the block or its efectiveness regardless this time.
The 1st tech came out and cut my line interupting my service including cable internet which I use for business. I reported that and rescheduled the reconnect AND the CHECKS THEY proposed to clear my responsibility. Their guy came out did the rehook checked all 4 remotes and boxes and told my wife NOTHING was ordered on any of our units. He further stated that he would report this and it would be taken care of to our satisfaction. Even further he claimed that this was occuring frequently in our area and that the storm damage was to blame.
I later called to ask why the charges were still there on my account. I was told that there was no record or report of the second visit and told I had to allow a 3rd visit into my home. I responded, "Then why is my cable on?". I'm disgusted and intend to speak to my attorney. This is too much! I always paid my bill and even paid in full during the months when service was only partially there. I asked that I not be billed for only the month of September when service existed of only ONE scratchy channel that came and went. My service to date still doesn't include everything I'm paying for but I AM paying the agreed upon full amount none the less.
