I've had problems with this guy that so many othrs have on this site (and I DO speak English very well). I recently retired from the military and moved to Fernley. I've had utilities, including cable, connected a few times during my many moves, as you might have guessed. I've learned to call the companies a couple of weeks ahead to set up the connection time to correspond with my arrival at the new location. I did call Tom and scheduled the Dish connection. I also called three days before arrival to ensure I was still ready to be connected. Since the Dish was already on the roof of the home, it should have been a very easy install.
The scheduled connection day arrived and Tom's install guy did come to the home. The first thing the install guy did was take out a contract and asked me to sign it to get things started. Well, I'm no fool so I asked him if he was going to connect everything and ensure it was operational and I was happy before signing anything. He gave me this deer in the headlights look like he'd just been busted and said that he had a few customers ahead of me but would come back to hook me up. I couldn't believe that I had wasted my time with Tom Jr. And his back-woods dish install business. It was not the installer's fault so I did not take it out on him. I just stated that I hoped that their competitors provided better customer service and sent him packing. The Dish was actually a better deal with the price and packaging. Too bad they don't really care about customer service because I did contact the company and never received a reply. I've NEVER had a problem with ANY utility or service company I've dealt with in my life so I guess I was overdue.
