I received a collection notice in the mail from these people claiming that i owed a company called "Mapnad Viatel Cons." $11.91 plus interest of $3.79 to total $15.70. When i called and was put on hold over and over again, and finally talked to a very rude young girl, she told me that it was an old debt to a long distance service provider called ECONO PHONE, which sometimes also goes as either VOICE NET or DESSA COMMUNICATIONS. She spoke very fast so that i wouldn't understand the company names she was giving me but i asked her to repeat the names and spell them for me. When she rattled off the names she immediatly asked "do i want to take care of this over the phone right now?", when i said definitely not she said "ok, thankyou, don't call back"
She also had the last 4 digits of my Social Security number, which is VERY SCAREY!
Be Very Aware of This Company!!! It's a SCAM
