Eckerds Pharmacy
Rude, Uncaring, losing perscriptions and not having certain meds and not calling to tell me in time that I can go somewhere else for the medicine

I am fed up with the Eckerds drug store on Anderson Mill Rd in Spartanburg SC. They lost one perscription that my dr called in. Another time, a perscription was called in on a Friday, I went to pick it up on the following Tuesday and they said that they never recieved it. I called the dr back and they had just heard from the pharmacy, the perscription had been on their answering machine for 5 days without being filled.

Last night was the final straw. I am in pain management and must take certain meds EVERYDAY or I will get very ill. I dropped off 3 scripts at 1:30pm. The clerk told me that she would call me if they did not have the medication. I did not recieve a call. I went to pick up the meds at 6pm and they could not find any of the scripts. They finally found the papers and inform me that they DO NOT have my most important medicine. My dr had changed it to 60mg instead of taking 2,30mg tablets. I asked them why no one had called me. They were very rude. They would not give me two 30mg tablets to take until they could order the stronger med. They had not called me in time to find another pharmacy that I could go to.

I asked to talk to the pharmacist (I was at the drive thru window). He came to the window and told me that they should have checked the medicine BEFORE I left after I dropped it off.
He offered to call around to some other pharmacies.

There are 10 pharmacies within 3 miles of this store. The pharmacist found my medicine 20 miles across town. He did not bother to call around, close to home. He was a complete smart aleck about it. I told him that I would be sick if I did not take my medicine the following morning, he shrugged his shoulders at me. He did NOT care.

I was furious and got my script back and went 1/4 mile down the road to the next pharmacist. They had the medicine. I did get my medicine, no thanks to Eckerds. I will never take another perscription to that store again. I am trying to find the corporate e-mail or address to report them but have had no luck so far. I am also going to call the manager today to complain.

Eckerds is too expensive, they do not care about their customers and lose scripts on a regular basis. I urge everyone to use a different group for your medical needs.
