A pharmacist at my local Kmart Pharmacy intentionally filed my insurance knowing that it would cost me around $38 for a medicine. The self-pay price is a little over $10. When I confronted her about it, she said that she had to do it. After talking further she gave it to me for the $10. Her reasoning was that since the other pharmacist did it, she would also. I am currently in the process of transferring all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I don't want to do business with an individual of that type of character. I also live 15 miles from this pharmacy and wanted to get my medicine a day or two early to keep from having to drive back into town on a weekend. I work across the street from the store. She refused because it was too soon. This is the first time I have ever had this kind of problem with a pharmacist. Even the others will fill them a little early. Wanting your meds. A little early for a good reason does not mean one is a drug addict.
