I entered into a contract with MCI Worldcom via one of their mailings. I do not recall the details; however, they offerred an analog phone that was appealing to me. At the time, I did not realize that analog phones were obselete. The phone died on me roughly 2 years later and I stopped using the service. Throughout my time with this company their service proved inconsistant. They started billing quarterly as opposed to monthly and I could rarely reach them on the phone. When the phone died I called them on the phone cancelling my account. I paid the final bill around Christmas time and figured, good riddance. I truly disliked this company by the end. My feelings turned to hate when they billed me again. I attempted several calls, but got a message stating they were too busy and telling me to call back. Then one of their employess called me asking why I failed to pay their bill. I informed this employee that I cancelled my account with them in december and the bill was erroneous. I asked if she could correct the problem and was told to call customer service. I continued to call customer service and finally got through. I told the rep my story and he checked their records verifying my story. He apologised and hung up leaving me with a sense of validation. To my horrer, I received another bill roughly one month later. I called repeatedly until I got through. This rep verified my story through their records but stated I owed $30.98. I became very frustrated with this gentlemen when he could not explain clearly why I owed his amount.instead of arguing I agreed to pay the $30 if he would agree to send me letter stating if I paid the $30 they would leave me alone and never contact me again. He agreed!!! I stupidly paid the $, prior to receiving the letter. I never received the letter. I received anther bill from WorldCom recently for $38.05 and tried contacting them via their email address without success. I got this site instead and I am writing ths email to express my feelings. This company has to be stopped. They are pathetic, pitiful and incompetant.
