Cricket Communications is the MOST horribly run cellphone provider I have ever had the displeasure of using. First of all, when we purchased 2 cellphones from them (rebate scam), we sent in all of our information and paperwork, but never received the money because they said it wasn't complete. I sent all of the info required, and they pretty much told me that they had no proof and that they weren't going to give us our rebate.

Now, over a year later, my husband has been called to active military duty, and I called in a week before he was to go away to shut off just his phone. The cs rep I spoke to told me it was no problem, but that I couldn't change the account over to my name without my husband calling in. The phone shut off the evening before I had requested, and was off the next day (I know, because I checked it). Then I got the text message about my bill and it was what it would have been with both lines, so I called in to let them know that the phone had been shut off on 8/28... The rep I got that time said that the phone was showing still on. I told her that the phone HAD been disconnected, and that I wasn't going to pay for a phone I hadn't used. She adjusted my bill, I paid for my one line and an adjusted amount because we shut his off in the middle of a billing cycle, and she said it was all taken care of.

The next bill came, and I called in because it was wrong again. THIS rep said that there was no way that I could turn off or on anything because it was in my husband's name and that I needed to present my power of atty paperwork or have my husband call in. I asked what if there wasn't anything we could do, because it had already been shut off by the very first rep, and got told that there was nothing they could do, except suspend my husband's account, and didn't I want to just let another family member use the phone, just cause that would be easier? I said fine, but I didn't think we'd want the other line anyway. She then made it sound as though the account would just work itself out in that 14 days and that I wouldn't have to pay for it then.

I called back in about a week later, and spoke with a supervisor, whom told me AGAIN that there was nothing they could do... I asked why the phone had been turned back on anyway? Wasn't it their fault for the original rep not knowing his job? The supervisor told me that the company policy had changed and that they couldn't go back on what the current policy was. I said, "so then what you're telling me is that, due to an error on YOUR company's part, you cannot honor the original agreement to shut off the additional phone line, even though the phone had been shut off and then turned back on, and then I paid the adjusted payment the month after? And you can see that there is NO activity on that phone?" She said, "No I have to follow procedure as to what's current in our policies... That's why we recommend that you read our policy statement at least once a month." I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT, and WHERE WAS I SUPPOSED TO GET A COPY EACH AND EVERY MONTH??? I got my bills as text! I finally just switched companies, and Cricket Communications wouldn't release our numbers until I paid the entire $115.00, even though I should have only owed around $50.00.

I am reporting this to the BBB and the Atty General, as well as the Commanding Officers over at my husband's unit. My husband is going to Iraq to serve our country and this is how Cricket treats the military wives left behind... It's just disgusting!
