I have a long list of grievances against this Company but for everyones sake i will only list a few.
My fiance had Cricket before i met her. She paid for the most expensive service she could get. She had unlimited everything; unlimited calls, text messaging, etc... She also Paid for insurance coverage for the phone. A few months after we started dating the battery on her phone started going all haywire and would shut off at random times, did not charge even though the charger was brand new, and just did not work in general. When she took it in she had no idea what was wrong with it. They told her that it was the battery. Even though she had the Insurance for the phone, they still tried to charge her 50 bucks to replace the entire phone and refused to replace the battery. What good does insurance do if it doesn't cover the phones problems?
I also have a cricket phone in my name. We had her phone shut off (because it did not work) and just use mine now. I get paid Every Other Week. I switched jobs back in November and the weeks i get my check changed. Money is tight just paying rent and utilities in this economy and its hard enough to pay the phone bill before the job change. What would make it easier for me is if they would change the due date for my bill from the week before i get paid to the week that i do get paid. My bill is suppose to be like 39$ a month. Since i don't get paid the right week i have to do a bridge extension for 20$. That makes it 59$ a month that i pay instead of 39.
I have asked on several occasions and they refuse to change the due date on my bill even if i've already paid up for the current month.
Now i don't even really mind that reception SUCKS for cricket because i know that you get what you pay for. 39 dollars for unlimited talk and text is awesome even if service sucks. But when i'm having to pay 59$ a month because they won't change my due date then i have a problem.
It seems like every time i go into the store to pay my bill someone is upset with the Customer Service they are receiving.
I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND Cricket to anybody unless it is a last resort. You definitely will not find cheaper or crummier service anywhere on earth.
I don't know if Cricket in other areas are like this but i sure hope there is a reason somewhere around this country that Cricket is worth a damn or they should be put out of business.
