To begin with, we, my daughter and I have had problems with this company. From activation to services we were to get.
Bills either didn't come or were 5 to 6 months late arriving. When calling the company we had to wait for up to an hour to finally speak to a rude individual. I guess I was lucky one time I actually asked to speak to the supervisor and was given to one immediately. At least they said they were.
Just this past week my daughters service was shut off. With no warning. Keep in mind it has been several months since she received a bill.
I received a shut off notice so she used that to call worldcom. She had tried to pay her bill over the phone using her bank visa card. She finally got to talk to someone and they told her that they had been having problems in that area. (They were saying her card was not valid). But they could accept the information for her. She proceeded to give this person her information anlong with her card number. The next day she called her bank to verify her balance and low and behold to make a long story short worldcom hit her account 4 different times in the same 24 hour period.
My daughter called worldcom and they said they only hit it once. The bank says they hit it 4 times for over $400.00. The amount should have been closer to $150.00. She has proof from the bank.
These people are big time ripoff artists. They told her it will take ten days for them to send her a form filling a grievance.
I say Bull - . She is a single mom working hard for her money, she can't afford to let this slide, but she can't afford to hire a lawyer either. Is there any help out there. Now I am affraid to cancel my account. I'm on SSI and can't afford what I am affraid they will bill me. Please help us.
