On 8.13.05 I made a calling card call from Ventura to Oxnard (about 5 miles) after 5:00pm that lasted less than a minute. I was charged $20 for that call by Legacy LD Intl, Inc! When I called to inquire why the charge was so hige, I was informed that the minimum charge was for 5 minutes and that the rates were the approved rates.
Since the phone would not take my coins, I had very little recourse.
The person on the phone @ Legacy LD Intl, Inc. Said that I should have called the operator to ask what the charges would be... Without knowing that such was necessary. I have NEVER been charged such a high and outrageous charge for a calling card call ever before!
The rates shouls not be allowed to be so high to take advantage of people stuck withoiut cell phones and only a calling card!
