Well I got RIPPED too!!! Noticed my phone bill had a new "service provider" under Miscellaneous Charges and Credits, SurfSafe Internet for $15.70. I have never heard of them and have authorized NO sevices to be provided by them! And who told BellSouth they could bill me for every tom dick and harry that comes along saying i owe them?
What does BellSouth get for collecting these bogus charges? (i see that this has been going on for awhile tho as i see ILD Teleservices (same contact info as safesurf) was billing me $16.52 at least since 11 and i assumed this was like the FCC Authorized Charge for Network Access (??) Is this crap LEGAL? What can we do to stop this for good???
