Since I have been a loyal Suncom Customer in Asheville NC.in the early part of 2005 I re-located to Greensboro NC. I had to change my area of service with Suncom so that I would not get roaming charges. Once I updated my services, my contract started all over again (2 years).

The first month, I barely got any coverage. Suncom says customers can use their phones anywhere in NC and SC. This is not true at all. There was even a situation of a sick child at school and the teachers could not reach me on my lunch break because I had no coverage. I complained by phone call and by letter to the company. I got a $10 credit after the 5th phone call I made although I could only get 10% of my coverage.

When I lived in Asheville I never had any problems. I promoted Suncom and even got family and friends to join!!!

Once I moved, it has been a nightmare. It takes an average of 20 minutes of waiting time just to talk to a Customer Service Representative, who can never help you and always has an attitiude problem.

The "Official" Suncom Store at the mall can't accept payments at all, so you have use a credit card or a check by mail or by phone and thats another 20 minutes of holding time (which has additional fees). And at the store most of the Sales reps are just as clueless about terrible coverage and service as the disgruntled customers. I had one rep tell me "Suncom Sucks".

Then to make matters even worse, the month of June, the company stuck me with a $366.00 long distance charge. Out of the 5 years of service with this company, I have never had a long distance roaming charge. Suncom claims I was in New Jersey for a week. I refuse to pay these bogus charges, but no one will talk to me or explain to me how this happened. I can not get any names or contacts of someone to help from this company. The Customer Service Reps are telling me I have to pay or they will cut my phone off and won't let me speak to a supervisor, a complaint department, no one.

Since Suncom has unlimited minutes for one fee, I do not have a house phone, or another cell phone. This service is the only phone communication I have.

I am going through a divorce and have children. I can not afford these false charges nor could I have afforded to take off work for a week (because that how long Suncom claims the charges took place) and talk on the phone in New Jersey (I don't even know anyone in NJ)???!!!

I hate Suncom for doing this to me, I am locked in ancontract where the services are not even provided to me, there is no customer satification, false charges, and no one will help me or listen to me... Its all lies in wireless!!!
