In June, my mother passed away.in early July, I called Comcast to cancel service. Since the bill date was the 27th of the month, the lady told me that they would refund me the $48.87 that was debited on June 27, and cancel the account. I was there when the guy came and disconnected the cable, and I signed the form authorizing the disconnect.
On July 27,3 weeks after the cable was disconnected, they debited my mom's bank account for another $48.87.
I requested a prompt refund and now I am told it takes 4-6 weeks; it sure didn't take them that long to steal the money from my mom's account. They also are now saying that they will pro-rate July, which I wouldn't really have minded except that's not what I was originally told.
What a bunch of jerks. I'm going to call and speak with a supervisor tomorrow to find out how they justify this type of service, but I doubt I'll get anywhere. Thank God for other cable companies and satellite.
