Disconnects Searching For Illegals ripoff the most incompetent people I have ever seen

Last January I was watching Cable and it went out. Comcast had just taken over the cable company from AT&T, which prior had taken it over from TCI, which took it over from Prime Cable.

Never had one problem with those companies.

Anyway my cable is out. After 1/2 hour I call Comcast Customer Service. They advise me to unplug the cable from the wall and wait and hour then plug it in again.

So I do this and go to laundry room to do some wash. I see all the cable boxes are opened (I live in an apt building with 60 apts). So I go back and phone customer service. I am thinking someone broke in. The CSA says "Oh they are disconnecting everyone and then you have to phone in that way they can tell who's illegally hooked up."

I tell her I just phoned and they didn't tell me that. Rudely she say "Do you want me to schedule you an appointment to get it hooked up." I am like No I want to pay for cable I'm not getting. So the next day they rehook me up.

Fast forward to March. My cable goes out. I phone same thing disconnect the cable from the wall and wait an hour. So I walked to the laundry room to look at the boxes and yes they are all disconnected.

I phone and the CSA (Customer Service Agent) says they have no way of knowing who is paying and who isn't unless they disconnect everyone.

I tell her there is a tag on the disconnected cable that has my apt number on it. You (comcast) knows I pay and STILL disconnected me. She said "Do you want to make an appointment to have it reconnected." I say yes and that I want to be credited for cable I'm not getting. She said they only credit if the service is out for over 24 hours.

Fast forward to June. Same thing. I see the Comcast van and catch the guy. I say "did you disconnect everyone." he says yes. I said "I understand you need to stop cable theft but I pay for it." Can you come back in the building and hook me up. The company will verify I pay. Sorry he says he only disconnects.

Call customer service they only say they have to disconnect everyone as they have no way of telling who is stealing. I again explain this isn't true. They tag the cable lines. If the cable line is tagged with my apt number and you know from the bills sent to my apt that I pay."

Now it is December and my cable goes off. I call and the CSA says "We have to disconnect everyone." So I make an apointment to get reconnected for between 8am -10am. No one shows up till 5pm. There website says they will credit me $20.00 if the call is not within the stated time. The CSA is all indignant and says "Surely sure you can't expect to get money when we are only trying to stop people from stealing cable." I said "I am NOT stealing your service." I have been out of service for over a day and I don't get anything for being incovenience. She suggested I try a satalite TV (Sp?) If I was unhappy with Comcast. I live in a garden apartment so I can't get satalite or believe me I would.

They are the most incompetent people I have ever seen. They don't come on time and make no effort to compensate even when they say they will.
