I paid Sams Club on three different occasions. Sent a copy of the first check which cleared the bank. Was told they could not read it. Paid again and was billed a third time with finance charge.
The company reported I was 90 days late on my credit bureau report which affected all other credit cards to the maximum interest rates they could incurr.
They sent a letter saying they were going to remove the derogatory reports but now this has affected my credit standings and pay down rates beyond repair. They have not offered to report their error to all my creditors or refund the money which was spend getting my credit reports or my husbands, or refund the extra money paid to the creditors which was an error by their conpany to begin with.
This has also affected our second mortgage by forcing us to pay an increase in interest rate by 3 1/2 percent.
Just because they made a mistake, being a large and worldwide company my husband and I have to live with the consequences of not being able to get legal help we feel we deserve.
Why are large companies allowed to make mistakes without the consequences we have to deal with if we make a mistake to the credit card company and get punished because they can afford to hide the real truth which may take us months or years to correct.
