The other day I got a bill from a company called One Call Communications Inc. It was sent to me on behalf of another company called Telliss, LLC. Telliss LLC has already had complaints filed against them, and evidently are still up to their scams, rip-offs, con-games, deceit, etc.
The alleged "charge" was $19.50 for a six-minute connection to a web-site. I would NEVER knowingly connect to a website that was going to charge me anything, especially a web site that charges somebody $3.25 pre minute.
Furthermore, the time of this alleged connection was 7:09AM. Nobody in my house is awake at that time, much less surfing the internet. I do, however, leave it connected over night. I won't be doing that anymore.
I tried to first contact One Call Communications. Their website was down and I couldn't obtain any contact information at all. It took me a while to find a website for Telliss and before I did I ran into a few sites that covered reports of their wrong-doings.
When I called Telliss the operator was very rude and seemed unwilling to help me find further information on how this charge came about. She said she could not tell me what website I was being charged for connecting to. Call me crazy but, doesn't it seem fair to assume that if they can charge you for it they should know where it came from? Needless to say, they would not reverse the charges.
